Can I explore KaiTrader without registering?: Yes. The public demo opens without an account or payment details. It contains the full demo dataset and a guided six-step tour.
What can I do in the public demo?: Explore the dashboard, trades, plans, playbook, coaching and completed session reviews. Supported journal questions calculate answers from the dataset. The weekly example is labelled as an illustrative template. Editing, importing, sharing and live AI generation require a personal account.
How does measured coaching help me?: Choose a process to practice, define an observation period and use session check-ins. Compare the baseline and current sample to see what changed. An observed change does not prove that the exercise caused it.
How does Ask your journal answer questions?: A supported question is translated into a structured query, then calculated from your selected journal scope. You can inspect the interpretation, sample size and evidence. The public demo uses local rules without calling an AI provider or saving question history.
Can I discuss my trades with other traders?: Yes. Private Circles let you share selected trades with a trading group and discuss them through comments and reactions. You choose what to share; the rest of your journal stays private.

Getting started

What is KaiTrader?: A trading journal with AI-assisted analysis for retail traders who trade CFDs via MetaTrader 4 or 5. KaiTrader shows you in black and white which patterns and mistakes cost you money, so you can work on them systematically. It promises no profits and is not investment advice.
Who is KaiTrader for?: Active EU retail traders who use MetaTrader 4 or 5 and want to document and improve their trading with discipline.
Do I need a broker connection to get started?: No. You can start right away by importing an account statement or adding trades manually. An automatic broker connection is not required.
How do I get my trades into the journal?: Import an MT4/MT5 HTML report or CSV, add trades manually, or use the MT5 publisher. An optional fxsocket connection supports recurring imports for supported accounts.
Is there a free trial?: Yes. Every new account starts with a 7-day free KaiTrader AI trial. There is no permanently free tier, but you can cancel any time before the trial ends.

Which platforms and brokers can I import?: KaiTrader reads MetaTrader 4 and MetaTrader 5 HTML account statements (English and German) as well as CSV exports. Report formats can vary by broker and terminal version. Check the import guide for supported formats and the steps to export your history.
Can I sync my trades automatically from my broker?: Yes, an optional fxsocket connection can synchronize history for supported accounts. The MT5 publisher is a separate script that sends trades when you run it; it is not a continuously running connection. Report uploads and manual entry remain available.
What is the Discipline Score?: A metric for how consistently you stick to your own trading plan. The more honestly you tag your mistakes, the more meaningful it becomes.
What are mistake tags?: Predefined and custom tags you use to mark typical mistakes (e.g. entered too early, moved the stop-loss). Over time they show you which patterns cost you the most.
What are Circles?: Circles are private groups where you share selected trades with your trading group and learn together. You decide which trades to share, the rest of your journal stays private.
Can I export my data?: Yes. You can export your trades as a CSV file at any time.

What does the AI coach do?: The AI coach produces weekly reviews and trade reflections. It analyses your already-closed trades in hindsight and helps you spot recurring patterns and leaks.
Will the AI tell me what to buy or sell?: No. KaiTrader gives no trading signals and no recommendations on individual instruments, neither for open nor for new positions. The AI looks strictly backwards at your own behaviour.
Is KaiTrader investment advice?: No. KaiTrader is a journaling and analysis tool for self-reflection, not investment advice and not investment brokerage. The majority of retail CFD accounts lose money (ESMA risk warning); no one can seriously promise you profits.
How many AI actions do I get per month?: It depends on your plan: KaiTrader Core includes 4 AI actions per month, KaiTrader AI includes 150. Both plans support weekly reviews. Individual AI trade reflections require KaiTrader AI.

Which plans are there and what do they cost?: Two plans: KaiTrader Core at €29/month (or €290/year) and KaiTrader AI at €59/month (or €590/year). All prices include VAT. There is no free tier.
Do I need a credit card for the trial?: Yes. Every new account starts with a 7-day free KaiTrader AI trial, and we ask for a card at checkout. Nothing is charged until the trial ends, cancel before then and there is no cost.
Which payment methods can I use?: Checkout runs through our payment provider Digistore24, which accepts all common credit and debit cards. The available methods are shown on the secure checkout page.
What happens when the trial ends?: Unless you cancel beforehand, your card is charged for the chosen plan and your subscription continues. We never charge more than the price shown.
Can I cancel any time?: Yes. You can cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation runs through the Digistore24 customer center, reach it via "Manage billing" in your account settings or the link in your Digistore24 order confirmation. You keep access until the end of the period you've already paid for.
Can I refer KaiTrader and earn something?: Yes. Through our referral program you can recommend KaiTrader and be rewarded for it. You'll find the details in your settings under “Refer & earn”.

Where is my data stored?: Your data is hosted on servers of Hetzner Online GmbH in Germany / the EU.
Who can see my trades?: Your journal is private by default. You choose what to share in a Circle or through a trade share link; check the selected fields before sharing. A public share link can be viewed by anyone who has it.
Is my data used to train AI models?: No. For the AI reviews, content is sent to our processor OpenAI and processed there, but not used for model training. Details are in the privacy policy.
Can I delete my account and my data?: Yes. You can schedule your account for deletion at any time in your settings. Your data is then deleted subject to statutory retention periods.
What data protection rights do I have?: You have the rights under Art. 15–21 GDPR (access, rectification, erasure and more). To exercise them, contact us at support@kaitrader.com.
